Xie Xindong, deputy director of the Dalian Transportation Bureau, and his party visited the Institute for investigation

On February 2, Xie Xindong, Deputy Director of Dalian Municipal Bureau of Transportation, and his entourage visited the Dalian Northeast Asia International Shipping Center Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute") to carry out research work. Ma Defeng, Director of the Comprehensive Transportation Division of the Transport Bureau, Shangguan Jianfei, Deputy Director of the Transportation Bureau, Zhang Kuisheng, Director of the Logistics Development Department of the Shipping and Logistics Development Service Center, and Jia Zishuai, Deputy Director of the Shipping Development Department, accompanied the investigation. Professor Kuang Haibo, President of the Institute, Professor Jia Peng, Vice Dean, Professor Zhao Yuzhe, Secretary-General, Professor Sui Cong, Director of the Institute of Shipping Finance and Insurance, and other researchers received the investigation.

Deputy Director Xie Xindong and his entourage first investigated the "Integrated Transportation Intelligent Technology Experimental Platform" jointly built by the Comprehensive Transportation Collaborative Innovation Center of Dalian Maritime University (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") and WeRide Zhixing. The general technology of autonomous driving developed by the experimental platform covers three levels: autonomous driving full-stack software algorithm, autonomous driving modular hardware solution and autonomous driving cloud architecture platform, which can realize the automatic driving of different models in urban scenarios, and has the ability to continuously learn and grow itself, adapt to the changing vehicle form and traffic mode in the future, and realize unmanned driving available to everyone.

Deputy Director Xie Xindong hopes that the center's autonomous driving general technology can be transformed and implemented in Dalian as soon as possible, forming an emerging industry based on artificial intelligence to serve the transportation industry, especially in combination with Dalian hydrogen energy industry, and make a difference in the field of smart public transport in Dalian.

Professor Kuang Haibo, director of the center, briefed Deputy Director Xie Xindong on the background, construction process and overall situation of the results of the center, and reported to Deputy Director Xindong the important scientific research achievements of the center in undertaking the national key research and development plan "Comprehensive Transportation and Intelligent Transportation" special project "Multimodal Intelligent Integration Technology and Equipment Development". In the multimodal transport science and technology exhibition hall of the center, Professor Jia Peng, executive director of the center, reported in detail to Deputy Director Xie Xindong the scientific research achievements of the center in the development of automatic transfer receiving and unloading equipment, the innovation of multimodal transport organization mode, and the intelligent scheduling management and integrated service platform of multimodal transport.

Subsequently, Professor Kuang Haibo accompanied Deputy Director Xie Xindong and his entourage to Dalian Winhai Technology Co., Ltd. for inspection and investigation, and Yin Xiumeng, chairman of the company, reported to Deputy Director Xie Xindong that the company has achieved social and economic benefits in building a "comprehensive shipping digital management integration platform" to help the construction of Dalian Northeast Asia International Shipping Center with the support of the Research Institute. Deputy Director Xie Xindong thanked Dalian Winsea Technology Co., Ltd. for its contribution to the digital transformation of Dalian's port and shipping industry, and said that the Dalian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government attach great importance to the construction of Northeast Asia International Shipping Center, and are adopting positive and effective ways and methods to support the digital transformation of Dalian's port and shipping industry.

Professor Kuang Haibo accompanied Deputy Director Xie Xindong and his entourage to the Institute, and in the working area of the integrated transportation big data platform, Professor Jia Peng, Professor Zhao Yuzhe and Professor Sui Cong reported to Deputy Director Xie Xindong on the work done by the Institute in the four fields of integrated transportation, multimodal transport, green port and shipping, and shipping finance, and the next step to use the platform of the Institute to actively promote the digital and intelligent transformation of Dalian Port and Shipping logistics supply chain.

At the following work report meeting, Professor Kuang Haibo reported in detail to Deputy Director Xie Xindong and his entourage on the work of the Institute in 2022 and looked forward to the focus in 2023. After listening to the report of the Institute, Deputy Director Xie Xindong fully affirmed the research results achieved by the Institute, expressed positive attention to the direction of research to be promoted in the future, and looked forward to the Institute continuing to serve as a think tank for the construction of Dalian "dual centers" in the new year, and put forward more decision-making support suggestions for the construction of Dalian Shipping Center and Logistics Center. At the same time, relying on the two scientific research platforms of "Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratory of Comprehensive Transportation Big Data" and "Engineering Research Center of Integrated Transportation Intelligent Technology and Equipment of the Ministry of Education", the Institute of Hope will track the new concepts, new technologies, new trends and new systems for the development of the international shipping center, focusing on software and hardware construction, smart port and shipping, multimodal transport, China-Europe train, comprehensive transportation, Arctic route, Northeast land and sea new channel, civil aviation industry, cold chain industry, logistics equipment industry, free port policy, Bay Area economy, In the fields of high-end shipping service industry revitalization and marine rule of law, carry out forward-looking, innovative and planned research, form a series of major research results with independent intellectual property rights of the Institute, formulate detailed special tasks and work evaluation reports, promote institutional reform, rationalize working mechanisms, promote the in-depth integration of innovative measures and industrial development, and help Dalian build a "dual center" for high-quality development.
